I certainly planned to make something different, but did not get all the ingredients in the store. I spontaneousely replaced them with others and ended up with these delicious alond bites.
7.5 g Fat | 20.4 g Carbs | 3 g Protein
- 100 g Flour
- 50 g Cornstarch
- 1 TBSP Baking Powder
- 1 Egg
- 150 g Sugar
- 185 g Margarine
- 150 g Sliced Almonds
- 2 EL Apricot Jam
- Vanilla Extract
Here’s how to do it:
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Sieve the flour, corn starch and baking powder into a bowl. Add the egg, some vanilla extract, 75g sugar and 85g margarine. Mix everything to a dough and spread it flat on a baking tray.
Heat the apricot jam briefly in the microwave so that it becomes slightly more liquid and can be spread more easily on the dough.
Melt 100 g margarine and mix with the remaining sugar and the sliced almonds. Use to cover the dough and the jam completely.
Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes until the almonds are golden brown.
Cut into small bites to serve.
