Chocolate Rolls

Chocolate Rolls

I prepared these chocolate rolls in the morning right before breakfast (admittedly: breakfast was a little later than usual this morning). But the wait was really worth it, because these chocolate rolls are easy to prepare and look great. Have fun trying!

Portions 8 Rolls

You need

  • 500 g Flour
  • 1 Pk. Dry Yeast
  • 250 ml Milk
  • 50 g Butter
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 1 TBSP Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 TSP Salt
  • 200 g Dark Chocolate Frosting

Here’s how to do it

  • Heat milk and slowly add in yeast. When the yeast has dissolved, slowly add sugar and vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, roughly knead the flour, butter and salt. Then add to the yeast mixture and knead everything together with a dough hook until smooth. If necessary, add a little flour.
  • Now divide the dough into 8 equal pieces. Then roll out each piece into a rectangle and cover each short end with dark chocolate. Now roll up the chocolate ends towards the center to create the typical chocolate roll shape (see photo below).
