Farmer’s Pot
What can I say to a farmer’s pot. The various ingredients fit together perfectly and topping it with sour cream makes it even better. Perfect for autumn and winter, although I make it all year round.

You need
- 2 Onions
- 500 g Potatoes
- 1 Bell Pepper
- 2 Carrots
- 2 TBSP Vegetable Oil
- 500 g Ground Beef
- 1 TSBP Tomato Paste
- 1 Can Crushed Tomatoes
- 500 ml Vegetable Broth
- Chives
- Sour Cream
- Spices: Salt Pepper, Paprika
Here’s how to do it
- To begin, peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes.
- Wash the peppers, remove the seeds and dice them as well.
- The carrots are peeled and cut into pieces.
- Peel and chop the onion.
- Now heat the oil in a large pot and fry the meat. Add the onions and fry both briefly.
- Next, add in the peppers, carrots and tomato paste. Everything is now cooked together for a short time.
- Then add the crushed tomatoes and the vegetable broth, followed by the potatoes and let it simmer for about 20-30 minutes until the potatoes are cooked. If necessary, add a little more broth.
- Finally, season to taste with salt, pepper and paprika powder.
- Now the chives are washed and chopped.
- The farmer’s pot is now served on plates or in bowls topped with a some sour cream and chives.
- Enjoy!
