Gnocchi Casserole with Ground Meat & Leek
Here comes another casserole recipe! Super easy to prepare and super delicious. If you don’t finish it right away, you can conveniently reheat it on the next day like almost any casserole. -Nicole
You need
- 500-600 g Gnocchi (homemade or from the store)
- 500-600 g Ground Meat
- 200 g Leek (approx. 2 stems)
- 250 ml Vegetable Broth
- 150 g Cream Cheese with Herbs
- 200-250 g Grated Cheese
- 2 Cloves Garlic
- 1 TSP Thyme
- 1/2 TSP Chili Powder
- 3 TBSP Vegetable Oil
- 1 TBSP Butter
- Salt, Pepper
Here’s how to do it
- Preheat the oven to 200 °C.
- Heat a tablespoon of vegetable oil and a tablespoon of butter in a large frying pan. Add the gnocchi and fry them on both sides until golden brown, season with a little salt.
- Then put the gnocchi in a baking dish.
- Meanwhile, clean and wash the leeks well and cut them into 0.5 cm rings.
- Finely dice the garlic or press it into small pieces.
- Once the gnocchi are ready, fry the ground meat with 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil until crumbly, season with salt and pepper.
- Stir in the leek rings, garlic, one teaspoon dried thyme and 1/2 tsp chili powder and sauté for about 5 minutes.
- Now deglaze with 250 ml vegetable broth and add the cream cheese. Let it simmer for about 1-2 minutes.
- Season to taste with salt, pepper and chili powder.
- Then add the leek and meat mixture to the gnocchi in the baking dish and mix everything well together.
- Finally, spread the grated cheese on top.
- Now put the casserole in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes.
- Enjoy your meal!
