Lemon Balm Syrup
Are you hot? The summer has been really wonderful so far, but if you need a refreshment, I have just the right recipe for you: a lemon balm syrup that you can add to your water. A great alternative to store-bought ones!-Nicole
You need
- 2 L Water
- 90 g Fresh Lemon Balm
- 1 Peeled Lemon
- 2 kg Sugar
Here’s how to do it
- Bring the water to boil in a large pot.
- Add the lemon balm and the lemon and stir well.
- Now add the sugar. Stir until the sugar has dissolved.
- Let your syrup rest for 1-2 days. Stir it occasionally during this time.
- Pass your syrup through a sieve to catch the lemon and lemon balm.
- Boil the syrup again and fill it into clean bottles.
