Pasta and Ham Casserole

Hey guys! The first recipe I am going to share with you, is one of my favorites. I think, that you can’t eat casseroles too often.

You need
 

  • 500 g Pasta Penne
  • 200 g Shredded Gouda
  • 200 g Ham
  • 200 g Whipped Cream
  • 500 ml Water
  • 1 TSP Tomato Paste
  • 100 g Cream Cheese
  • 2 TBSP Corn Starch
  • Sugar
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Paprika
  • Nutmeg
  • Onion Powder
  • Garlic Powder

Here’s how to do it

  • Preheat your oven to 200° C.
  • Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente and place them in a casserole dish afterwards.
  • Cut the ham into cubes and spread it over your pasta.
  • Now put the cream, water and starch in a pot and stir it with a whisk until the starch has dissolved. Then add the remaining ingredients for the sauce. Let boil while stirring constantly.
  • As soon as the sauce has a pudding-like consistency, spread it over the pasta in the casserole dish and add the shredded cheese on top.
  • Bake in the oven for 20-30 minutes, until the cheese has a golden color.
