Red Beet Spread with horseradish

My very favorite spread to eat on bread comes from Alnatura. I have discovered it months ago walking through the isles of a DM market. The striking color and combination of horseradish and red beet immediately attracted my attention, so I took a jar home and loved it! Unfortunately I can’t get it in the US, which is why I gave it a try myself. This way, all of you who like to try some special dips and spreads -Natascha

You need

  • 300 g Red Beet
  • 4 TBSP Horseradish
  • 200 g Cottage Cheese
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic Powder
  • Onion Powder

Here’s how to do it

  • Peel the beet, cut into pieces and place in a blender with the cottage cheese. Mix until you have a smooth mass and no pieces of the beet are visible anymore.
  • Next, stir in the horseradish and finally season to taste with salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder.
