Stuffed Potato Waffles with Basil & Gouda
Last night we had a craving for waffles and tried a savory version, which also makes a great side dish to roasted vegetables or similar. As a special extra, each waffle is filled with a portion of Gouda, which melts deliciously during baking.– Pauline

You need
- 200 g Boiled Potatoes
- 1 Handfull Fresh Basil
- 50 g Corn Flour
- 3 Eggs
- 30 g Buckwheat Flakes
- 3 TBSP Shredded Gouda
- Salt
- Pepper
Here’s how to do it
- Preparing these waffles is super easy and fast. First, peel and cut the potatoes into pieces and boil them until they are soft. Then mash the potatoes, chop the basil and mix them with the rest of the ingredients except the cheese in a bowl.
- Now preheat the waffle iron and grease it with a little oil. When the iron is hot, add about two tablespoons of the dough, one tablespoon of shredded cheese and then another two tablespoons of the dough.
- And now you just close the waffle iron and wait for your waffle to finish baking. 🙂
