Walnut Cookies with chocolate
Again, I only had one egg at home, and so was looking for a recipe that doesn’t ask for more. I found these walnut cookies, which can also be baked wonderfully outside the Christmas season for the next coffee party. I modified the recipe a bit, so that not quite as much sugar and chocolate are used. The nice thing about these cookies is that you can watch the dough balls turn into crispy cookies during the short baking time. Yum!-Josefine
You need
- 150 g Butter
- 150 g Sugar
- 1 TBSP Vanilla Extract
- 1 Egg
- 200 g Flour
- 1 TSP Baking Powder
- Salt
- 100 g Dark Chocolate Drops
- 100 g Walnuts
Here’s how to do it
- Mix butter, sugar, vanilla extract and egg until creamy. Gradually stir in flour, baking powder and salt.
- Flatten the walnuts with a rolling pin or chop them with a knife. Add to the dough mixture together with the chocolate drops and fold in.
- Now you have to form about 20 small balls from the dough (best with wet hands). These are spread with sufficient distance on 2 baking sheets (they’ll rise!) and baked about 15 minutes at 180 °C in the preheated oven.
- Allow to cool completely.
- Done!
